Nu toate ştirile sunt importante. Unele sunt doar "cel mai mare preţ la ţiţei vreodată" sau creşterea consumului de petrol īn Asia respectiv China. Să nu uităm că mass-media aleargă după subiecte fabuloase.
Aşa că am īnceput să selectez din cele peste 1.000 de ştiri zilnice despre petrol. Analize şi articole cu adevărat interesante. CNN, BBC, NewYork Times, Reuters, Bloomberg, Washington Post, Guradian, Economist, dar şi mulţi independenţi.
NY Times vă cere īnregistrare dar e gratis. La fel şi Washington Post.
Unele din ştiri nu mai sunt la locaţia din link. (se dă căutare pe Google cu numele ştiri şi data)
Din august 2004 tonul articolelor s-a schimbat radical. "Peak Oil" este mainstream.
Deşi preţul actual al petrolului nu are legătură cu declinul producţiei ci mai degrabă cu faptul că producţia nu ţine pasul cu cererea.  Deocamdată. Nu uitaţi, suntem pe platou,  pentru o perioadă.
